How To Gain Motivation To Try Again After A Miscarriage

Miscarriage is one of the toughest realities for couples struggling with infertility. After investing an immense amount of time, money, and emotion into the process of trying to get pregnant, you find out that the life you have created won’t continue on into the baby you had hoped for.

Heartbroken is the feeling I hear most often from my clients experiencing a miscarriage. Having big dreams crushed by grief only compounds the feeling. Layer on negative thoughts and you have a recipe that will keep you in heartbroken shackles indefinitely.

But the question that comes up afterward has to do with motivation. Specifically, how to generate the motivation to try again after such a loss. Most people don’t want to try again because they are afraid. It seems that fear holds them back from moving forward. They think they are afraid of another miscarriage but the truth is they are really afraid to experience the negative emotions that will surface if it does happen again.

Emotions are simply vibrations in our bodies caused by our thinking. Nothing more. The difference between people who can pick themselves up and go back into treatment to try again and those that cannot is the difference between those that have learned how to manage their minds and those that have not.

Once you learn how your thinking is generating all of your emotions you build a very powerful muscle of awareness. You then gain control over your own experience and you can decide how you want to feel going forward.

The worst thing that could happen is that you will feel awful if you have another miscarriage. But what would you feel if it worked out? What would you experience if the next time you got pregnant you were able to give birth to and meet your baby?

Think about it. If you want to try again but fear of failure is the reason you aren’t you could use some extra help right now. That’s what I do. Reach out to me to schedule some time to chat and I can help you move forward.
